The Deye SUN-20K-SG01HP3-EU is a 20 kW three-phase hybrid inverter that works with a high-voltage (HV) lithium battery. With a 160-700 V battery range, 2 MPPTs and 97.6% maximum efficiency, it is a good match for HV battery systems in villas, offices and small businesses on a three-phase supply.
Key features
- 20 kW rated output, three-phase grid connection.
- 160-700 V high-voltage (HV) lithium battery support: lower current, less heat loss and higher system efficiency.
- Up to 37 A charge/discharge current: fast battery charging and enough current for heavy loads.
- 2 MPPT inputs with a 150-850 V MPPT range: strings on different orientations and tilts are optimised separately.
- 97.6% maximum conversion efficiency.
- 100% unbalanced output on each phase: every phase can be loaded independently, even with uneven loads.
- Diesel generator input: the generator takes over when the grid is down and can also charge the battery.
- IP65 protection: dust- and water-protected wall-mounted enclosure suitable for outdoor use.
Where it is used
- Large villas on a three-phase supply
- Offices, shops and small businesses
- Farms, barns and agricultural buildings
- Rooftop solar plants with storage
Installation with Aden Solar
Aden Solar calculates inverter power and battery capacity from your consumption profile, typical outage length and the critical loads you want covered. Frequently asked questions
What is a hybrid inverter?
A hybrid inverter manages energy flow between solar panels, the grid and a battery in one device. Generation feeds the loads first, the surplus charges the battery, and critical loads keep running from the battery during an outage.
What is the difference between HV and LV batteries?
HV (high-voltage) batteries run at hundreds of volts, so the same power needs less current, thinner cables and loses less heat, which suits larger systems. LV (48 V) systems are common at household scale, easy to expand and cost-effective.
What does unbalanced output mean?
In real buildings, loads are never spread evenly across three phases. An inverter with unbalanced output supplies each phase according to its own demand, so heavy use on one phase is covered even when the others are lightly loaded.
How much battery does a 20 kW inverter need?
It depends on how many hours and which loads you want covered during an outage. Aden Solar lists the critical loads during the site survey, reviews your daily consumption and calculates the required kWh in writing.
