The Deye SUN-8K-SG04LP3-EU is an 8 kW three-phase hybrid inverter that runs on a 48 V low-voltage (LV) battery. With up to 190 A charge/discharge current, 2 MPPTs and a generator input port, it is an outage-resilient choice for homes, farms and small businesses on a three-phase supply.
Key features
- 8 kW rated output, three-phase grid connection.
- 48 V low-voltage (LV) battery system (40-60 V): works with lithium (LiFePO₄) and lead-acid batteries.
- Up to 190 A charge/discharge current: fast battery charging and enough current for heavy loads.
- Diesel generator input: the generator takes over when the grid is down and can also charge the battery.
- 2 MPPT inputs with a 200-650 V MPPT range: strings on different orientations and tilts are optimised separately.
- 97.6% maximum conversion efficiency.
- Unbalanced output on each phase: a single phase can carry up to 50% of rated power.
- 6 programmable charge/discharge time slots: charge when power is cheap, discharge when it is expensive.
- IP65 protection: dust- and water-protected wall-mounted enclosure suitable for outdoor use.
Where it is used
- Large villas on a three-phase supply
- Offices, shops and small businesses
- Farms, barns and agricultural buildings
- Rooftop solar plants with storage
Installation with Aden Solar
Aden Solar calculates inverter power and battery capacity from your consumption profile, typical outage length and the critical loads you want covered. We deliver turnkey installation: free site survey, string design, switchboard and cabling, installation, grid connection, monitoring setup and commissioning.
Frequently asked questions
What is a hybrid inverter?
A hybrid inverter manages energy flow between solar panels, the grid and a battery in one device. Generation feeds the loads first, the surplus charges the battery, and critical loads keep running from the battery during an outage.
Does it work with a generator?
Yes. Through the generator input a diesel generator can be brought in during long outages and its energy can be stored in the battery. When solar and battery are not enough, the generator keeps the loads running.
Should I choose a single-phase or three-phase inverter?
It depends on your grid connection and loads. Single-phase supplies use a single-phase inverter; three-phase supplies and three-phase motors, pumps or compressors need a three-phase inverter. Aden Solar checks your connection during the survey.
How much battery does a 8 kW inverter need?
It depends on how many hours and which loads you want covered during an outage. Aden Solar lists the critical loads during the site survey, reviews your daily consumption and calculates the required kWh in writing.
