The Deye SUN-5K-SG03LP1-EU is a 5 kW single-phase hybrid inverter that runs on a 48 V low-voltage (LV) battery. With up to 120 A charge/discharge current, 2 MPPTs and a compact 25 kg IP65 enclosure, it is designed for residential solar systems with storage.
Key features
- 5 kW rated output, single-phase grid connection.
- 48 V low-voltage (LV) battery system (40-60 V): works with lithium (LiFePO₄) and lead-acid batteries.
- Up to 120 A charge/discharge current: fast battery charging and enough current for heavy loads.
- 2 MPPT inputs with a 150-425 V MPPT range: strings on different orientations and tilts are optimised separately.
- 97.6% maximum conversion efficiency.
- Compact residential design: 25 kg with natural cooling for quiet operation.
- Up to 16 units in parallel, on-grid and off-grid, so the system can grow with demand.
- IP65 protection: dust- and water-protected wall-mounted enclosure suitable for outdoor use.
Where it is used
- Homes and villas with frequent outages
- Off-grid cottages and holiday homes
- Backup for small businesses and offices
- Rooftop solar plants with storage
Installation with Aden Solar
Aden Solar calculates inverter power and battery capacity from your consumption profile, typical outage length and the critical loads you want covered. We deliver turnkey installation: free site survey, string design, switchboard and cabling, installation, grid connection, monitoring setup and commissioning.
Frequently asked questions
What is a hybrid inverter?
A hybrid inverter manages energy flow between solar panels, the grid and a battery in one device. Generation feeds the loads first, the surplus charges the battery, and critical loads keep running from the battery during an outage.
What happens during a power cut?
When the grid fails, the inverter switches automatically to battery supply; during the day the panels power the loads and recharge the battery. The loads to back up are chosen in the survey and the switchboard is split accordingly.
Should I choose a single-phase or three-phase inverter?
It depends on your grid connection and loads. Single-phase supplies use a single-phase inverter; three-phase supplies and three-phase motors, pumps or compressors need a three-phase inverter. Aden Solar checks your connection during the survey.
How much battery does a 5 kW inverter need?
It depends on how many hours and which loads you want covered during an outage. Aden Solar lists the critical loads during the site survey, reviews your daily consumption and calculates the required kWh in writing.
